Atwater Block Brewery is by far one of the most memorable breweries we have visited in the Metro Detroit area. Its located within a 1919 factory warehouse, and has been going strong since 1997. This is an imported brew house, meaning that their brewing equipment has all been imported from Germany. Their lagers are brewed with malt and hops from Germany, and their specialty ales are brewed with American hops. The tap room is now located within their brewery space, and you can go in and get yourself a cold one Wednesday thru Saturday from 4:00PM-11:00PM. No food there, but some of the best beer you will find anywhere. We bet you'll love Atwater just as much as we do.
