Southfield's Malty Dog Brewing Company is easily one of our top favorites in Michigan. The relaxed ambiance is hard to find elsewhere, and we love that they have such a broad selection of wonderful beers as well as wine. The fact that they are willing to share their beer recipes is a real plus here, for those who have taken up craft brewing in their own homes. Their Tow Head Blonde has always been a favorite of ours, and Stan's Pale Ale is quite a highlight as far as we're concerned. Chocolate stout too! Malty Dog is typically open until 9:00PM Monday thru Saturday, but sometimes they close down after 8:00PM if there's not much of a crowd. They are closed on Sundays.
